Yes. We carry full public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. All our operatives are vetted and experienced, and we can provide copies of our insurance certificates on request.

We provide a 10-year workmanship guarantee on all roof cleaning and treatment work. Our professional biocide treatments also inhibit moss and algae regrowth for 5–10 years, meaning your roof stays cleaner for longer.

A standard residential roof clean typically takes 4–8 hours depending on the size of the roof and the extent of moss and algae growth. Larger properties or roofs with very heavy growth may require a full day. We will give you an accurate time estimate when quoting.

No. High-pressure washing can damage natural slate by widening hairline cracks, dislodging nail fixings, and disturbing the surface texture. For slate roofs, we always use low-pressure soft wash techniques combined with specialist biocidal treatments, which are both safer and more effective.

A professionally applied biocide treatment after roof cleaning typically inhibits moss and algae regrowth for 5–10 years in Liverpool's climate. The exact duration depends on the roof's orientation, surrounding trees, and local rainfall patterns. North-facing slopes in sheltered positions may need retreating sooner than exposed south-facing roofs.

The safest and most effective method is professional soft washing — low-pressure application of specialist biodegradable biocide solutions that kill moss, algae and lichen at the root. This is far safer than pressure washing (which can crack tiles and void warranties) and more effective than dry brushing (which spreads spores). After cleaning, a biocide treatment inhibits regrowth for 5–10 years.

Pricing depends on roof size, access, and the extent of moss or algae growth. A standard semi-detached typically costs £250–£500 for a full clean with biocide treatment. Soft washing, steam cleaning, and specialist slate or tile cleaning are priced in the same range — we always recommend the safest method for your specific roof type. We provide free, detailed written quotes before any work begins.
